THE 2022 Wychavon Parish Games began with the Men’s five-a-side football tournament last weekend at Badsey Club’s recreation ground.
And Offenham were the team who eventually came out on top with a 4-2 penalty shootout win against Badsey and Aldington in a close final with the event sponsored by Hasti-Brokers.
The teams were split into two groups of five with Badsey and Aldington and Offenham topping their respective groups with eight points apiece to advance to the final.
Inkberrow claimed third place with Bretforton in fourth, Evesham Bengeworth finished fifth and Eckington in sixth with Harvington, Broadway, Sedgeberrow and Hill and Moor also taking part.
The next event in the Games is cross country sponsored by Schloetter Co Ltd, which takes place at Pershore High School on the evening of Monday, July 4.
This will be followed by rounders sponsored by Marshalls Transport which will take place on Sunday, July 10 also at Pershore High School.
