WITH just six weeks remaining until the Droitwich Half Marathon, participants are invited to register for the event on Saturday April 14.
The challenging course starts at Westacre School on Ombersley Way, going through Salwarpe, Ladywood, Hadley, Porters Mill and Fernhill Heath in the surrounding Droitwich Spa area.
Returning through Porters Mill and then Ladywood, the half is completed at the High School Athletics Track – completing the scenic run through the rolling countryside.
Runners must be over 17 to take part, with the Droitwich Half being pinpointed as an ideal half marathon to train for the Greater Manchester Marathon or the London Marathon events.
Starting at 11am, refreshments are offered around the course, whilst parking and changing facilities are available for the event.
Finishers are to receive a medal commemorating their participation, a t-shirt and a goodie bag – so there is plenty of incentive to put on the running trainers in the coming weeks.
