THE SKY Sports cameras will be rolling at Gaudet Luce Golf Club next week for the prestigious William Hunt Trilby Tour.

More than 140 golfers will battle it out next Thursday at the award-winning course in Droitwich for the Worcestershire Regional Championship of the amateur tournament.

Players will be aiming for a top-ten finish to book their place at the International Grand Final at Hull Golf Club on August 31.

The William Hunt Trilby Tour holds a unique format where the winner of each regional championship is decided by the top four players playing in a three-hole shoot-out.

Not only that, but the dress code requires each participant to wear a Trilby Hat.

Gaudet Luce’s managing director Alec Fernihough said: “Hosting the Trilby Tour of Worcestershire is a great coup for Gaudet Luce.

“We have invested heavily in our golf course and infrastructure over the past few years and being able to host competitions of the size of the Trilby Tour means that the investment was worth it.

“The positive reaction of our members has been fabulous and I would like to thank all the volunteers who will be helping on the day and all of our sponsors for partnering with us”

Gaudet Luce is a Phoenix course which is split into two contrasting loops of nine holes.

The front nine is reviewed as being tight and requires good course management while the back nine is more open and longer in comparison.
