DROITWICH Spa fans have reason to be cheerful after the Saltmen’s first set of pre-season fixtures were announced earlier this week.
Ahead of another campaign in Division One of the West Midlands (Regional) League, Andy Crowther’s men will be looking to pick up where they left off in the previous two terms in mounting another promotion challenge.
And with dates for the diary to look forward to, anticipation and excitement will now begin to build for what the Spa faithful will hope to be a successful 2021/22 season.
Droitwich will be on the road in four of the five fixtures announced so far, starting with a trip to Paget Rangers of the Midland League on Tuesday, July 13.
Spa then take on Hellenic League outfit Hereford Lads Club on Saturday, July 17, before heading to Bewdley Town, who are in the division above, on Thursday, July 22.
Two further games against Midland League opposition then follow, with a first home game of the new season against Knowle at Droitwich Rugby Club on Saturday, July 24, before taking on Cadbury Athletic on Tuesday, July 27.
Spa are expected to confirm at least three more friendlies for pre-season, which are to be announced in the following weeks.
