DROITWICH Spa FC have made club history this afternoon by making it through to the second round of the FA Vase on Non League Day.
The Saltmen saw off Whitchurch Alport at Walshes Meadow thanks to a brace from Jordan Cox.
He struck twice in the second half – on 61 and 73 minutes after a goalless first half.
Today was Non League Day because it is international football weekend and no Premier League or Championship matches are taking place.
The Saltmen and their jubilant fans will now be awaiting the second round draw to see who they face in the second round.
Ticket prices were reduced, as is traditional, to get bigger crowds on Non League Day.
