SEAN JENKINS smashed half a century for Himbleton who further cemented their place in the Worcestershire County League Division Three promotion spots after dispatching Netherton by eight wickets.

In what proved to be far from idyllic conditions, the Meadow Boys bowled out their hosts for just 124 with Sam Jenkins (3-23) and George Clifton (3-19) the pick of the bowlers.

Rob Perrins (2-42) and Matt Handford (2-31) were also rewarded for their efforts with the ball.

In reply, Himbleton lost two early wickets as openers Richard Pretty and Richard Sugden departed with the visitors on 23.

However, Alistair Pretty (39) and Jenkins (57) put on a stand of 91 to graft out a desired win for the Meadow Boys who increased the gap between themselves and third placed Bartestree & Lugwardine to 46 points.

Himbleton entertain relegation-threatened Rushwick on Saturday and will have a full strength squad to select from including the returning captain Stuart Dickenson.
