Droitwich RFC searching for new senior coach for 2019/20 season

Droitwich Editorial 29th May, 2019   0

DROITWICH RFC are on the lookout for a new senior coach to work with the club’s first team, to help accomplish the club’s ambitions of a top-five finish in Midlands 1 West next season.

The Monners finished last season in ninth place, following successive promotions before that, and currently run two senior sides, with a youth section running from U5s level through to U17 and the Colts side.

A successful candidate for the job will be tasked with assisting Director of Rugby Adam Drew in continuing the club’s progression in previous years, and have valuable experience to draw upon.

The new senior coach will regularly coach the club’s first XV, and be prepared to plan and deliver training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Droitwich hope to finalise an appointment prior to the start of pre-season for the 2019/20 campaign.

Elsewhere, the club are set to host a 15-a-side pre-season tournament at the Monners’ Glyn Mitchell Memorial Ground home on August 24.

The tournament will offer a live DJ, a bar and food on site, with a £100 entry fee per team and a £20 fee per pitch for camping facilities.
