DROITWICH will have four county derbies to look forward to next season after the Midlands Two West (South) constitution was confirmed by the North Midlands RFU.
Last season’s ‘Invincible’ Midlands Three West (South) champions, who won all 22 of their league games, will enjoy home and away games against Malvern and Evesham.
Malvern are going through a period of change as Rob Cook will be their new director of rugby for the 2017/18 campaign.
Evesham meanwhile are old foes of Droitwich having claimed the runners-up spot in Midlands Three West (South) to secure their promotion.
Droitwich’s director of rugby Adam Drew said: “Both myself and the lads are all relishing the challenge next season.
“There are some tough teams in our division but you don’t get better by winning every single week.
“You get better by losing on the odd occasion.
“Local derbies always seem to be the grudge matches but we’ve got nothing to fear.
“We beat Evesham and Malvern last season but that does not mean we will beat them next season.
“The squad is in a good place and we are ready for the challenge.”
Barkers’ Butts, Berkswell & Balsall, Earlsdon, Kenilworth, Leamington, Nuneaton Old Edwardians, Old Yardleians, Silhillians and Southam complete the Midlands Two West (South) line-up.
