Youngsters from Droitwich's St Peter's Pre-School delighted with new playhouse

CHILDREN from St Peter’s Pre-School in Droitwich had their new playhouse delivered and built this week, thanks to D&J Timber Buildings Ltd.

The children and staff were devastated when the garden was vandalised over the Easter holidays and their wooden playhouse that had been there for nine years was stolen.

Dan Cox from the Worcester firm saw the story and offered to supply and build a new tailor-made playhouse for free.

On Tuesday Dan and Duncan Mason went along to build it.

A spokesperson for St Peter’s Pre-School said: “All of us (teachers, committee members and students) would like to again express our thanks to D&J Timber Buildings Ltd for their generous donation.

The children loved watching their new playhouse being built, it will be thoroughly enjoyed for years to come.”

The pre-school also has CCTV now in place in a bid to deter similar incidents in the future.

To help raise funds for the school to replace the toys and fencing damaged during the theft a GoFundMe page has been set up.
