Young explorers can take in some Droitwich history this half-term with Heritage Centre's trail

YOUNG explorers are being urged to take in some history over half-term by participating in a fun heritage trail.

The hunt has been organised by staff at the Droitwich Spa Heritage and Information Centre.

Children will be handed a sheet with pictures on and are then urged to head out around the town to write down where they see the items.

Joint heritage manager Catherine Finn said: “The images may show part of a mosaic or a bit of a statue which they then have to track down.

“It’s about getting them out in the fresh air and looking at the history they have on their doorsteps.”

Entry is 50p per child and those who successfully complete it will receive a sticker and some sweets.

Catherine added: “We have limited space inside the centre so we needed to think about an activity we could offer which still enabled people to socially-distance.”

The heritage centre, museum and gift shop are open to visitors from 10am to 2pm during the week (October 26 to 30) and from 10am to 12pm at the weekend.

The trail is available from the centre.
