POLICE are trying to identify a woman who was seen on Vines Lane on the same day Droitwich man Desmond Wooding was murdered.
CCTV images of the woman have been released, dating Sunday, June 23.
Mr Wooding, aged 80, was last seen alive on the Sunday near his house on his mobility scooter.
He was found dead in his home the following morning, with multiple stab wounds.
Detective Inspector Mark Walters said: “This appeal is regarding our investigation into the murder of Desmond Wooding at his home in Vines Lane on the same day.
“The enquiry team is keen to identify and speak with the young woman who is not suspected of any wrong doing but may be able to assist the police investigation as a witness and provide important information that can help us with our enquiry.”
Two men charged with the murder of Mr Wooding were supposed to appear in Worcester Crown Court today but the trial date was pushed back to February.
