Volunteers needed by Worcester, Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society to lend a helping hand at annual St Richard’s Canal Festival

VOLUNTEERS are being sought by Worcester, Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society to lend a helping hand at the annual St Richard’s Canal Festival.

The event at Vines Park in Droitwich, runs over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, opening from 5pm next Friday, May 4, and then from 10am to 11pm from Saturday to Monday.

There will be canal boat rides on the ‘Pamela May’, live music from midday every day and a wide range of real ale and cider.

Volunteers are needed from Wednesday, May 2, to the following Tuesday to help put everything up and take it down, as well as help sell tickets for the ‘The Great Droitwich Duck Race’ at 4.30pm on the bank holiday Monday.
