TWO TEENAGERS have been arrested and a man has been charged after the street robbery in the Westlands on Friday (April 10).

The incident happened about 11.50pm as a 32-year-old walked along Meadow Walk, towards the estate, from the town centre.

He was approached and attacked by five people and, during the assault, an iPhone 6 was taken from his pocket.

Following that, a 15-year-old boy from Droitwich, a 17-year-old from Worcester and 22-year-old Michael Hollins, of Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The boys have been released on police bail .

Hollins has been charged with robbery and remanded in custody until his next court appearance – that will be at Worcester Crown Court on May 26.

The iPhone 6 has been recovered.

Police are still urging anyone who witnessed the incident to call officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
