THE ORGANISER of the children’s theatre at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre is retiring after almost two decades, writes Sophie Wheeler.
Margaret has produced the productions for the last 18 years, researching the programmes, finding cast members and stage crews and making sure there were lots of sweets to go around.
She produced the monthly plays put on by adult theatre members for children aged three to eight.
Thousands of children from Droitwich and further afield have been introduced to the theatre thanks to Margaret’s productions.
In recognition of her efforts she was presented with bunches of flowers by two children sat in the audience during Saturday’s production of ‘The Gnome, The Teapot and The Cosy’.
The next children’s theatre performance will be at 2.30pm on March 16.
