EMERGENCY services and highways officers were kept overnight and this morning as several areas of Worcestershire became flooded.
Shell Ford in Droitwich is still shut after a car became stranded in floodwater yesterday, following two days of rain.
Among the other roads closed are Ravenhayes Road in Frankley and Houndsfield Lane Ford in Wythall which remains shut after a vehicle became stranded in floodwater yesterday.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s water rescue teams attended and rescued the driver.
HWFRS Station Commander John Laight who was out with crews rescuing people and vehicles stuck in floodwater issued a warning to drivers.
“Do not try to drive through deep flowing water!
“There is always another way to get to your destination.”
