A WOMAN had to be cut free and three people, in total, were taken to hospital after a multiple vehicle crash in Droitwich.

The incident, which happened just after 5.15pm on Friday (July 3) and involved two cars and a van, took place outside the Chateau Impney Hotel.

The one cut from one of the cars was a woman in her 40s who had become trapped as a result of her injuries. The roof was removed as the fire service worked with ambulance crews to get her out.

After being treated for her leg injuries, she was immobilised using a spinal board and then taken by ambulance to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.

The second injured person, a teenager from the same car, was treated for a wrist injury before she was taken to hospital.

Then from the people carrier, a man in his 30s was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and taken to the Alex as a precaution.
