RESIDENTS will be able to get an insight into the fire service and equipment firefighters use on a regular basis at a special event this weekend.
Droitwich Fire Station, Friar Street, will open its doors between midday and 4pm tomorrow (Saturday) with the crews providing safety advice and an array of demonstrations throughout the day.
Among them will be what happens in a house fire and chip pan fire scenarios.
The open day will also feature rides on fire engines and the chance to try out breathing apparatus, whilst there will be demonstrations by the Young Firefighters Association and a display by the St John Ambulance.
There will also be a variety of fun for all the family, including face-painting, stocks, splat the rat, competitions and a raffle, along with refreshments, including a cake sale and a barbecue.
