MORALE- boosting messages from the Droitwich and Ombersley NHS Neighbourhood Team left carers at the town’s Ravenstone Care Home ‘overwhelmed’.

The hand-written notes thanked the care home staff for their dedication during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The words of encouragement expressed gratitude for what the Ravenstone team had been doing, thanking them for their hard work and added: ‘without all of you, we wouldn’t be able to do our jobs either’.

Alex Hongu, deputy manager at Ravenstone care home, said: “We were all so shocked when we received the messages – it was quite emotional reading them!

“We’ve received lots of support from the community throughout the pandemic but it’s nice to know our hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.”

Cathy Fickling, quality manager for Ravenstone care home, said: “I couldn’t be prouder of the team here at Ravenstone. Everyone is so dedicated to what they do, and I know the messages from the NHS team have meant a lot.

“Every Thursday at 8pm we all take a moment to reflect, and clap for each other and all key workers across the UK.

“It’s a humbling moment, and reminds us all to enjoy the great times we share with each other on a daily basis.”

Ravenstone care home, part of Larchwood Care, has been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.
