St Peter's C of E Academy has Worcester giraffe 'standing tall' at its entrance

ONE OF the giraffes from Worcester’s Stand Tall exhibition has taken up temporary home at St Peter’s C of E Academy in Droitwich, writes Demi Andrews.

The ‘Variations on an Original Theme’ giraffe was inspired by Worcester’s landmark statue of Edward Elgar.

The design contains a QR code which directs to a link where Elgar’s Enigma Variation no. 9 can be heard.

Headteacher Tracey O’Keeffe-Pullan said the school was very grateful to the generous family who loaned the giraffe to the school.

“Many of us enjoyed the giraffe trail in Worcester, so to have one visit St Peter’s is very exciting.”

The giraffe can be seen standing tall at the school’s main entrance.
