A WARNING has gone out to drivers after a number of vehicles, garages and sheds were targeted by thieves and vandals in Droitwich within a number of hours.
Between 10pm yesterday and 8.55am today a person entered a garage in Broughton Green and used a sharp interest to scratch the bonnet on a vehicle parked in there. They also broke into a wooden shed and a metal shed and took a hammer drill and damaged a strimmer.
Also in Broughton Green, between 8am yesterday and 8am today, thieves entered an unlocked garage and the vehicle inside, stealing a cricket hat. They placed a jacket on the roof of a vehicle and then tried to get into the shed. They damaged the hasp but could not get in.
A leaf blower was stolen from another property in Broughton Green and an attempt was made to steal a vehicle – those incidents happened between 11pm yesterday and 4.30am this morning.
And thieves broke into another garage at a property in Broughton Green stealing a chainsaw, strimmer, blower, a small chainsaw and a handheld Makita circular saw.
Another incident reported to police today saw the windscreen of a vehicle parked in Lawley Way, Droitwich, smashed by vandals.
Residents are urged to keep a lookout for any suspicious behaviour and report it to police on 101 or, if it is in progress, 999.
