THE SANTA sleigh operated by the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa and the Droitwich Lions also had a record-breaking festive season with £3,439.02 collected for good causes.
President of the Rotary Club Helen Karkashian said last year was a good year for the fund-raiser but in 2014, residents had surpassed themselves, especially as there was one less route on the run.
“All the members would like to say a very big thank you to Santa and all his helpers and a particular thank you to all the residents of Droitwich Spa who have donated so generously to support the charities chosen this year.
“Thank you so much on behalf of all the causes supported by Rotary and all good wishes for a very happy new year.”
