A MOTORIST was left counting the cost after a TomTom sat nav, jewellery and a cheque book were taken from their car while it was parked in Leigh Grove, Droitwich.

The silver BMW X3 was alarmed and locked and, after gaining entry, the thieves took the £150 navigation system, and a silver necklace which had a gold and silver charm on it.

An Acorns Hospice charity box was also stolen but, fortunately, that was empty.

The incident is being linked to another one in Leigh Road – between 5.45pm on March 11 and 8.30am on March 12 – where a Toyota Verso was targeted.

The thieves took a stroller puschair and CDs worth £70 after getting into the car.
