A FORMER project engineer of Worcestershire’s Summerfield Research Station will be signing copies of his book at Droitwich Library from 2pm tomorrow (Saturday).
Hugh Nicolson’s ‘Summerfield – the history of a rocket research establishment’ tells the story of the Summerfield site which opened in January 1952.
It gives an idea of how solid propellant technology was advanced and how Summerfield‘s innovative work made the
establishment a world leader in several areas.
Copies of the A4 book cost £10 for members of the British Interplanetary Society and £12 for non-members.
Anyone who cannot attend but wants a copy of the book should call 0207 735 3160.
