TWO thefts from vehicles in Droitwich and one attempted theft from a car which happened in Droitwich between Wednesday (May 7) and Thursday (May 8) are being linked by police.

A laptop was stolen from a car while it was parked in The Holloway in Droitwich between 9pm and 7.45am on those days.

The victim heard noises between 4am and 5am and it is thought that is when it could have happened.

The other two crimes happened in Hawford Place, about 4.05am last Thursday, and in College Green from 7.15pm last Wednesday to 7.30am last Thursday.

In the Hawford Place one, thieves attempted to take a sat nav system but were forced to flee empty-handed. There was no damage to the car.

The raider was white, in his 40s and of medium build. He had short hair and ran off to the Pillar of Salt.

In the one in College Green, a Ford Ranger was targeted and a Tom Tom sat nav, worth £100, was stolen, along with a crash cam – a £60 American device fitted to the rear view mirror which records footage if the vehicle is involved in an accident.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
