AN APPEAL has been launched to find a man who tried to steal cash from another man while was using a cashpoint.

It happened at the Tesco Express in Foregate Street, Worcester, at 12.30pm on October 3.

As the man was using the machine the attacker pushed him aside and tried to take out £100 on the victim’s card.

But, because there was insufficient funds in the account the raider was forced to flee empty-handed.

The would-be thief was white, 5ft 9ins tall and had black hair. He wore a white cap, a black coat and had an Eastern Eurpoean accent.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
