UPDATE: Man in his 90s dies following collision with car in Ombersley

A MAN in his 90s has died after being hit by a car in Ombersley on Wednesday.

The man suffered head and leg injuries after he collided with a Mercedes C300 at around 6.35pm while crossing the road at the junction of the A449 and Stinton Lane.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he later died.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call the police on 101 and quote incident number 614s of January 3.
