Plenty of things to do for youngsters in Droitwich in the summer hols

YOUNG people and parents in Droitwich who are looking for ideas for what to do throughout the summer holidays can log onto a new website which details activities.

The site has been created as part of a project involving students from Droitwich Spa High School Sixth-Form and members of the Droitwich Spa Youth Action Group.

Leaflets and flyers have also been designed and they were distributed throughout the schools before they broke up.

Among the free activities taking place in the next week are a walk and picnic at Worcester Woods Country Park on Tuesday (August 4), a Youth Bus (Sports Challenge) at Droitwich Leisure Centre suitable for 11 to 17-year-olds on Thursday (August 6) and a Summer Extravaganza at Dines Green School next Friday (August 7).

On Wednesday (August 5), there is also Rumblefest – a boxing skills coaching session, with competitions, activities and games, at Droitwich Amateur Boxing Club. Admission for that is £2 per person per session or £10 for the whole six weeks of sessions.

Then next Friday (August 7) there is a golf camp at Gaudet Luce Golf Club. Three-hour sessions for five to eight-year-olds are £15 and six-hour sessions for nine to 15-year-olds are £35, which include lunch.

Visit http://dss4k.co.uk/ for further details on those activities and more in the coming weeks.
