Plenty of festive fun on offer at Westlands' Christmas event

Droitwich Editorial 14th Dec, 2018   0

THERE will be plenty of festive fun on the Westlands in Droitwich from 4pm to 7pm next Friday, December 21, when there will be a variety of Christmas activities in the district square.

The programme will start at Westlands Community Hall at 4pm for people where people can get handmade decorations to place around the green space.

The weather-proof and eco-friendly decorations, including pine cone wreaths and bottle top wreaths, have been created by young people from DAFFY (Droitwich Action for Future Youth).

A Christmas tree will be put up in the square outside the Community Hall where residents can hang a wooden plaque with a message to a loved one and visitors can decorate wooden shapes for their tree at home.

And, of course there will be the chance to meet Father Christmas in his grotto on the Youth Bus from 5pm.

The Christmas tree lights will be switched on and there will be carols at 7pm.

Refreshments will be available in the hall foyer from 4pm to 6pm.
