AN APPEAL has been launched for volunteers to collect for the Droitwich Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The campaign began on Tuesday and runs until Remembrance Sunday and it is hoped collectors will be stationed around the town.
Mel Bates, the Poppy Appeal organiser, said: “Collectors can be seated if they need to be for a couple of hours in the morning or afternoon.
“Please help our wonderful charity.”
The Royal British Legion helps ex servicemen and women and their families.
Anyone who can spare a couple of hours should call Mel on 01386 792414.
The Droitwich Working Men’s Club, at the west end of the High Street will be the headquarters for the collection.
