WITH yesterday’s partial lunar eclipse fittingly coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the launch of the moon-landing space mission it was cameras at the ready for photographers in Droitwich ‘and beyond’.
This amazing image was taken by near Droitwich Rugby Club by photographer Louis Cartwright-Walls.
He said he chose the area specifically because he wanted somewhere where there was low light pollution.
The partial eclipse could be seen from around 9.30pm to just before midnight with the peak time in most places being around 10.30pm.
It is estimated around 60 per cent of the moon was covered by the Earth’s shadow at that peak.
