AN OPEN day at Droitwich’s Westmead Day Care Centre next Saturday (September 13) will offer visitors an array of activities.
Those who go along between 10am and midday will be able to browse a number of stalls, selling everything from children’s games and books to ladies’ clothes and bric-a-brac.
Refreshments and cakes will be available for those who want a cuppa and a natter and all money raised will go to the Droitwich Stroke Club.
Jacqui Brown, the manager of the centre, which is next door to Westmead Residential Care Home, said: “Our day care service is a real lifeline for many local people, so we are proud to be helping a Droitwich charity to support people in our town.”
Westmead Day Care runs affordable morning and afternoon sessions every week day and is a place where people can go along, make friends and take up a new hobby in a warm and friendly environment. Homemade hot lunches are provided and transport is available.
