THE SELECTION of names for the roads off the main thoroughfare on the Yew Tree Hill development have been chosen by Droitwich Town Council.

At a meeting on Monday (December 14), it was decided the main road through the Redrow and Persimmon site would be Wildlife Way and the streets off it would incorporate names of UK animals.

Among the names opted for were badger, squirrel, fox, weasel, hedgehog, shrew, dormouse, hare, rabbit, stote, cuckoo, lark, raven, robin, magpie, sparrow, woodpigeon, deer, goldcrest, blackbird, Jenny Wren and dove.

The next phase will be to choose what will go after each one – for example avenue, street, road, grove, drive.
