More vehicle activated signs heading to Droitwich to clampdown on speeding drivers

Droitwich Editorial 8th Jul, 2019   0

MORE Vehicle Activated Warning Signs (VAS) are likely to appear in Droitwich over the next few months.

Droitwich Town Council has lodged a request with Worcestershire County Highways to have signs installed on Westwood Road and Oakland Avenue.

The request comes shortly after signs were installed on Salwarpe Road and Primsland Way which, according to an analysis carried out by the West Mercia Safer Roads Partnership, are deemed to be the worst in the town for speeding.

The council has reached out to Westcotec Traffic Safety Systems regarding the different types of VAS units available to purchase.

The process is expected to take six to ten weeks.
