Macmillan Cancer Support's advice and information bus heading to Droitwich

Droitwich Editorial 10th Mar, 2020 Updated: 10th Mar, 2020   0

MACMILLAN Cancer Support’s free advice, information and support bus is coming to Droitwich on Friday, March 13.

The visit coincides with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month which one in eight men in the UK are diagnosed with every year.

Anyone with any concerns about prostate or other forms of cancer can visit the bus for help and support.

Hilary Gwilt, a Macmillan information and support specialist on the bus, said it was also really important people living with cancer were able to access the local information and support available.

“Cancer can affect every part of your life, not just your health.

“We can help signpost people to other local services and support groups who can provide free practical, emotional and financial support.”

The team will be on hand to answer any questions, talk about what symptoms to look out for and offer any advice on treatment or help for carers.

The bus will be in Victoria Square from 9am to 3pm.
