M5 reopened after crash between two lorries sparked miles of tailbacks

Droitwich Editorial 19th May, 2022   0

THE M5 motorway has been fully reopened following a crash between two lorries yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Motorists were advised to add as much as 90 minutes to their journey amid nine miles of queues following the incident northbound between junctions eight (Strensham/M50) and seven (Worcester/Evesham)

In addition to recovering the damaged lorries, repairs to the central reservation saw the carriageway closed until just before 8pm, although two lanes were reopened just after 7.30pm in a bid to tackle the tailbacks.

There are no reports of any injuries.
