A PENSIONER was taken to hospital with neck injuries after a crash on the M5 which saw two cars go down an embankment.
The incident happened about 4.40pm last night (Monday) on the southbound carriageway between Junction 4a and Junction 5.
Two fire crews from Bromsgrove and one from Droitwich were sent to the scene and, after establishing no one was trapped, made it safe.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson confirmed two ambulances, a paramedic, a rapid response vehicle and a paramedic officer in a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
The 62-year-old who was in the one car was immobilised on a spinal board and taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital and another man was sent treated at the scene and then discharged.
