DROITWICH’S Specsavers has raised £38.30 by selling home-baked cakes and treats to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.
The team at the St Andrew’s Square store took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day for the charity, which supports people affected by dementia.
Store director Emma Singh said she wanted to thank all the customers for their cake bake and generous donations which would help contribute to the Alzheimer’s Society’s important work.
Alzheimer’s is a common form of dementia, which can cause memory loss and confusion, and affects 500,000 people in the UK.
