Himbleton School and Nursery holds collection for Droitwich Foodbank as part of harvest celebration

Droitwich Editorial 28th Sep, 2018   0

A RAINBOW Harvest was celebrated on Wednesday by the children and staff of Himbleton C of E First School and Nursery.

A special service was held at Himbleton Church and this year the theme was ‘colour’.

Pupils from across the whole school worked hard to produce pictures, poems, dances and plays for the event which celebrated ‘gifts we were given’.

There was also a collection for the Droitwich Foodbank, Himbleton’s chosen charity which provides emergency food parcels and support for people in the town who are in crisis.

The school’s RE lead Sara Hedges said: “There was glorious singing and a wonderful display of harvest donations. A great time was had by all.”
