A CASE full of items aimed at triggering memories among older people and those living with dementia is having its first outing to Droitwich Mews Care Home.
The Memory Suitcase scheme was launched by Droitwich Heritage Centre in March this year.
An appeal led to a number of items being donated to help people reminisce.
Among them are old perfume bottles, vinyl records and toys.
Emily Soper, Droitwich Mews’ wellbeing and activities co-ordinator, said she was looking forward to hearing residents’ stories connected to the items.
The home, which opened last autumn, encompasses a memory care suite for those living with dementia.
Catherine Finn from the Heritage Centre, who set up the project, said: “We are so excited to be sending the suitcase out into the community and sharing our rich local history.
“We hope it will remind people of happy times from their childhood’s and let them enjoy telling people about them.”
