MORE than £450 has been raised for two charities by staff at chartered accountants Ormerod Rutter who organised a host of fund-raising events.

Over 80 staff members across six offices took part in a Wear it Pink day, cake sales and a picture naming competition and, in Droitwich Joff Jennings had his head shaved on the same day to raise funds for Children in Need and Breast Cancer Awareness.

Partner Alex Dyer said the fund-raising had been very successful.

“Many people’s lives are impacted by cancer and often children are affected when families are going through difficult times.

“We are proud of our employees who really got into the spirit of the event and donated generously, never forgetting that serious issues can affect any of us.”

Today (Friday) a host of other events will be held by the company for Children In Need – among them will be fancy dress on this year’s superhero theme, along with a cake sale, treasure hunt and more.
