A DAY detailing the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children will be held at Droitwich Methodist Church at 10.30am next Saturday, July 7.

In the morning there will be a presentation on the history of the hospital, through to the modern pioneering research work.

In the afternoon there will be a talk by Christine Temple who trained there as a nurse years ago but continues to have their work close to her heart.

She has a project to increase accommodation at the hospital for parents of very sick children so they can have a private place to rest but be near enough to visit their sick child at short notice.

Donations will be taken for the cause and there will be a cream tea at 3.30pm and a bring and buy stall.

People should take their own lunch.
