THE FRIENDS of Droitwich Spa Lido (FODSL) have donated 650 free tickets to be used by some lucky Spatan residents.
In total, £2,000 has been spent on paying for the Lido park entrance tickets to be used this summer.
Some will be given to schools and organisations in the town while others will be used in a variety of events including the St Richard’s day Tombola.
The FODSL has also organised a number of late night swim events on June 21, June 28, July 5 and on July 6 – between 6.30pm until 8.30pm where there will be live music to entertain swimmers.
The group is now raising money to help pay the heating bills at the Lido so the water temperature can be increased.
Suzi Wood, FODSL’s chairman, said they had chosen to use their fund-raising money to buy tickets to help promote the Lido and bring people in who may have not attended before.
