Four jailed over Worcester car-key burglaries and vehicle thefts

FOUR MEN have been sentenced more than ten years in prison at Worcester Crown Court after pleading guilty to car-key burglaries and vehicle thefts.

The incidents happened in Worcester on September 28.

Ben Wilson, 24, of HMP Hewell, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 36 months in prison.

Wilson also admitted a further charge of handling stolen goods which he will serve concurrently.




Shaun Cooper, 20, of Sandon Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle.

He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.


Oliver Cooper, 19, of young offender institution at HMP Featherstone pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle.

He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Lee Cooper, 18, of Werrington Young Offender Institution pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Det Sgt Scott Chivers from West Mercia Police said welcomed the sentences and said: “Burglary and car theft can be a very emotive and intrusive crime and I hope the victims are reassured that justice has been done.

“Tackling burglary remains a priority for West Mercia Police and we are committed to protecting our local communities.”
