FORMER head girl at Droitwich Spa High School, Katie Bowen, has secured a place at The Queen’s College in Oxford after receiving top grades in her A-levels.
The 18-year-old, who previously did work experience at the Standard, was awarded A*, A*, A.
She will read English Language and Literature when she moves on to the next step in her education.
Katie is a familiar face in the town and known for being the former Chair of Droitwich Youth Council.
Her role involved her attending town council meetings where she updated councillors on various matters.
Beaming with pride, mum Kath told the Standard: “I know there has been so many students disappointed with their grades but obviously we are thrilled.
“Her twin brother also got his grades for University of Worcester so we are one relieved house.”
