TWO PEOPLE were rescued in freezing conditions yesterday after ending up in the River Severn by the Holt Lock.
The two men had been on a boat on the river.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Droitwich, Worcester and Evesham were sent to the scene just before 2pm, along with the Water First Responder team from the Wyre Forest.
One was rescued from the water by the Swift Water Rescue Team and then the second man was hauled to safety.
The pair were checked over by paramedics before being discharged at the scene.
