THE LATEST messy church at Droitwich’s St Andrew’s Church on Saturday (November 21) will have a festive feel about it.
The advent themed event, between 10am and midday, will see all who participate given a Real Advent Calendar, which raises funds for charity and includes a book telling the Christmas story.
Tomorrow’s session will include the making of Advent candles to light on each of the four Sundays before Christmas Day, along with stars, Christmas cards, angels and Christmas tree biscuits.
Those who go along will also help make a special messy church holly wreath which will be hung in the church and there will be songs, a short talk and free sandwiches and cake for lunch.
Messy Church is free and open to all children of all ages accompanied by an adult.
Rev Bev Jameson, team vicar at Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said “Advent is the run up to Christmas and I know everyone will have a wonderful time.
“Messy Church is a great fun family event and I can certainly recommend the chocolate in the advent calendars.”
Residents should note the Parish Centre Cafe will be closed to the public that day.
