Expensive jewellery stolen in Droitwich burglary

DROITWICH Police are hunting burglars who broke into a property in the town and made off with several expensive items of jewellery.

It happened between 3pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday (December 30) at an address in Tagwell Road.

After smashing the kitchen window, the thieves took a Gucci watch with bracelet strap, an Elise watch with bracelet strap and a gold face, a white gold pair of hoop earrings, a pair of white gold ‘C’ shape earrings, a silver dress ring, a ring with eight diamonds mounted on it and a pandora bracelet with a blue stone.

They also escaped with a Kindle and a Sharp video camera in a blue bag.




Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A 35-year-old Droitwich man was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, following the incident in Tagwell Road and another in Alexander Avenue, Droitwich, on December 15.


He has been remanded in custody for a court appearanace later this year.

None of the stolen property has been recovered so far.
