DROITWICH Tennis Club has received its third year of sponsorship from Redrow Homes Midlands.
Community tennis sessions were recently introduced on the brand new £40,000 courts in Lido Park where more than 100 children now take part.
Junior membership rose by 27 per cent last year alone and it is expected to increase by up to 40 per cent throughout this year.
The Redrow funding covers the costs of qualified coaches, sessions at local schools and new sessions in the park.
The last 12 months have been extremely successful and the park sessions have increased the amount of children playing tennis in the town.
Droitwich Tennis Club is now working with the local council to launch sessions for visually impaired children, which will positively impact the availability of the sport.
