MICHELLE Bowen of Tagwells Tea Room & Cupcakes is hoping customers old and new will come and join her and her family for the official reopening at 10.30am this Monday (November 9).
The Tea Room was launched in January 2014, replacing what was previously a walk in, take out bakery.
Since then the new Tea Room, thanks to visitors liking what they do and word of mouth, has gone from strength to strength.
Based on Tagwell Road, Tagwells prides itself on being a contemporary version of a traditional tea room.
For those who enjoy something savoury, a variety of delights, including sandwiches, paninis, toasties and baked potatoes are on offer and, for those with a sweeter tooth, there is afternoon tea, home-made cupcakes and scones , along with a fine selection of traditional sponges and cakes which are all made to order by a local bakery.
Tagwells has been closed since Tuesday (November 3) while the expansion work and refurbishment is completed.
The closure of the business nextdoor – the Nice Things gift shop – has allowed Tagwells to double its capacity meaning more people will now be able to enjoy the tasty treats Tagwells has to offer. The improved capacity allows for lunchtime table bookings to be taken in order to avoid disappointment.
Michelle has been very careful in continuing the original appearance and theme of the Tagwells and the only real difference is the extra customer space.
So if you fancy a sweet treat or a tasty lunch, its time you tried Tagwells!
