DROITWICH swimmer Rebecca Redfern has won silver in the SB13 100m breaststroke at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
She finished the swim in 1min 14.10secs, just 0.56secs behind Elena Krawzow who took gold.
Becky, who finished second fastest in the heats and also took silver in Rio in 2016, led at the half-way stage but was unable to hold off the challenge from the German.
It is a fantastic achievement for the former Droitwich Spa High School student who became World Champion in London 2019, winning the race while not knowing she was already pregnant.
In the past 12 months, despite her severe visual impairment, she has juggled being a mum, studying for a degree at Worcester University and her intensive training programme.
